Creative exhibition of David Sinkevičius "Closer to the body"

In the new exhibition "Closer to the body", the author Deividas Sinkevičius chooses the graphic technique as an accent to record his insights, thoughts and dreams, but he does not want to limit himself when creating, but rather - to experiment and be surprised by the combination of performance possibilities. Pictures painted in this way are filled with graphics, and graphic works with elements of painting. This is the main feature that distinguishes this exhibition from the artist's previous work.

[...] David Sinkevičius's artistic expression is characterized by a fairly solid drawing based on the principles of classical art, a clearly structured composition, and a combination of realistic and surrealist elements. The most interesting is the worldview created by the author, which is characterized by a unique image, the search for original visual metaphors, the interweaving of traditions and today's current events, which the artist reflects on in an unconventional way. Graphic and painting works, whose artistic discourse is characterized by the juxtaposition of opposites, the changing or transcending of usual semantic meanings, and the expansion of meanings, are particularly characterized by these evaluable features. As the artist himself states, this is how he tries to "express his point of view, thoughts about the world around him". A respectable and wide range of technological performance, less and less limiting the possibilities of the implementation of the developer's visions.
With the freedom, spontaneity and amplitude of his natural creativity, Deividas Sinkevičius resembles the old folk masters of god-making, and his visionary nature also touches the world of the local genius M.K. Čiurlionis. For him, creativity is not just a professional occupation, a way of life or a personal ambition, but a way of being in the world, where life and creativity are equal, integral aspects of existence.
The originality, naturalness and consistency of the creative manifestations, the wide scale of technological and genre performance of the works, active exhibition and public activities, allow us to expect further artistic productivity and quality of the artist.
