July 5th at 16:00 the exhibition "Moss" opens!
The author of the exhibition Rūta Kazakevičienė is an artist, florist, educator, nature lover, founder of the natural decor studio "Natūralistė".
Rūta was born and raised in the village of Grūtas near Druskininkai, surrounded by nature. A direct connection with nature determined her inclination towards creativity and specifically - creation from natural materials.
The artist studied at the Druskininkai Art School, studied interior design, and studied floristry in various courses and independently. Her creative path began after returning to her native Druskininkai after studying and working in the capital.
The florist currently creates from stabilized and dried plants, conducts education for adults and children, and has created over 200 paintings of stabilized plants of various sizes. The artist's works are distinguished by their naturalness, tactility and aesthetic subtlety. She creates only from natural materials – moss, branches, dried plants, wood – avoiding synthetic artificiality.
Each piece becomes a silent meditation, embodying the fragility and cyclicality of nature. Her compositions feature imperfect symmetry and intuitive arrangement, allowing plants to reveal their unique beauty. Visually, her works are close to Zen philosophy and ikebana, but retain creative freedom and originality.
The author has organized 4 exhibitions of her works and has been described in the press many times. Her work can be seen in Druskininkai at the studio "Natūralistė", as well as www.naturalistedecor.lt, Facebook and Instagram.
The exhibition invites you to experience nature differently - not as a background, but as the main character.
