2025. August 10 - 30. The Druskininkai Crafts Center "Menų kalvė" will host the exhibition of the Republican Blacksmithing Competition "Lithuanian Blacksmith 2025", organized by the Kaunas Branch of the Lithuanian Folk Artists' Union. The exhibition will feature works of blacksmithing created over the past five years and submitted for evaluation for the Blacksmithing Award nomination. The competition has been organized since 2009. every three years, its goal is to foster Lithuanian cross-crafting under the auspices of UNESCO, to encourage blacksmiths' creativity, to maintain vibrant and revive the disappearing traditions of blacksmithing, to honor the most talented masters - blacksmiths who have preserved forgotten blacksmithing techniques and technologies, adapting them to today's needs. The title of Lithuanian Blacksmith is awarded to blacksmiths of our country for the significant and creative development of blacksmithing.
The award ceremony for the winners of the Lithuanian Blacksmith Competition will be held on August 9 at 6:45 p.m. at the Druskininkai Entertainment Square, the exhibition opening will be on August 10 at 12:30 p.m. at the Druskininkai Crafts Center "Menų kalvė".
